Part of my makeup artistry class included having a photo shoot opportunity with a professional photographer. I brought in two models and got to create two looks, research what kind of poses I wanted each of them to have in the photos and have 'fun' with makeup. For my two looks, I decided on an Old Hollywood Glam inspired look and a natural, warm 'autumnal' look. The focus of the Old Hollywood Glam look was on a bold red lip, black liner and 'lots' of gorgeous lashes with gold shimmery shadow. The natural look was all about using warm shades of bronze, peaches, amber and cream shades. My friend was able to take some photos of me working on the Old Hollywood Glam Look:
Here is the complete look:
The gold shadow on the eye is not overwhelming and ads that perfect touch of metallic glam. It works well as a contrast to the true red lipstick, black liner and lashes. When I get the final photos from the photogrpher I will have the opportunity to post more photos with a close up on the eyes!
The model on the right is a friend of mine who posed for the natural, 'autumnal' makeup look I did - I used a lot of warm peach shades and on the lip, I used a natural toned lipliner with a warm apricot-orange lipstick!
I had a BLAST today working on these looks - it was great being able to create these looks on my friends and then having a photo opportunity to capture some poses to include into my portfolio. I will keep you all posted once I get the professional photos!!!
