Deep Autumn Vs Soft Autumn

I decided in the New Year that I wanted to simplify and minimize my makeup 'wardrobe' - so I've revisited some of my all time favourite looks - I went through my camera, picture galleries and this blog and I couldn't help but notice how much I loved both the Deep Autumn and Soft Autumn palettes the best on me. Most recently I've been drawn to the DA palette, but there is a huge part of me that just adores the Soft Autumn palette. So I decided that I'd love to hear what you think and get your feedback on two recent looks that I created! Here is a recent Deep Autumn Makeup look:
And here is a Soft Autumn Look that I just created today:

I'd so curious and excited to get your feedback on this - I'm finding that when looking at the colours - because both palettes are neutral and warm, there is some overlap, but I'd just like to get your opinion about 'deep' vs 'soft'!!!

I think you look good in both -- I could see you using the Soft Autumn as a "work" look, while the Deep Autumn would make a good evening or special occasion look... now what about "casual"??

Thanks for the feedback Sneza - I was actually thinking the exact same thing, SA for day/work, DA for evening!!! :) I'm definitely blessed in being able to work with many palettes - I think its nice to have the option to play around vs being stuck in 'rules and regulations' of the palettes!!!

I personally like that SA look on you a lot. May I ask why you aren't so drawn to the TA palette anymore? I think it looks amazing on you!

THank you Megz - I felt that there was a big aspect of TA that just didn't fit - mainly, I feel that I'm not 100% true warm - my skin tone is definitely more on the 'neutral' side - lately, I've been playing with deep winter vs deep autumn again - I'm just about to do a visual post on it - I always feel like I never quite belong to any one season, which frustrates me sometimes!

minus the blue eyes, I have very similar coloring to you. reddish brown hair and light but not white skin tone. I'm pretty sure I'm somewhere in between true and dark autumn, because many of the true autumn lipsticks tend to make my skin looked washed out or ruddy, they don't add enough color. I prefer the top look on you, your skin tone stands out more with the more color rich lipstick.

I think you look better in the Deep Autumn. I also have the same problem, between deep and soft Autumn.

I think you look better in Deeper colors I also have trouble, deciding between soft or deep Autumn.

Thanks Cynthia - I'm settling on true autumn these days, but wearing the deeper/warm shades for a more dramatic look :)
