Soft Autumn Makeup Request - Welcome Back SA!!!

I created this look because I wanted to give Soft Autumn another chance and I got 'many, many' responses from people saying they feel this really is my best palette. However, I have had a lot of discussions with people about the notion of a 'custom blend' palette. Many people are finding that they have one 'base' season, but can easily borrow from other sister seasons. For example, I have a friend who is 100% True Autumn, but can easily borrow from Deep Autumn and Bright Spring. I think its worth getting a 'custom blend' consultation to see where I would flow! I have to admit that with as much Deep Winter envy as I have (and I do still feel I can wear a lot of those colours successfully) - I must say that this look is 100% harmonious and perfect for me - so welcome back Soft Autumn!!!
Here is what I used for this look: For the eyes, I started with Brule as a base, applied soba + Coquette from lid to crease (all MAC) - I then used NARS Mambo eyeliner and smudged the upper lashline with MAC's Embark Blush - MAC's Sweet as Cocoa with Pinch Me as a pop of colour Lips - Chicory Lipliner with Spice is Nice by MAC I am really, really loving the SPice is Nice lipstick by MAC!!!
I would love to hear your feedback on this look!!!

Renata,

You look nice right now. I am glad you are back to autumn colors. I did not like your deep winter looks and I did not have any wish to leave any comments about them. I agree with people who think you need more neutral colors not too warm and SA is one of options.

I like you in this palette, but I have always thought you were able to wear more palettes than other people. I bet you could figure out a way to wear a look from each one!

Thank you Margo and Snezana for your feedback - I agree, with you both, neutral is where I fit best and I feel I lean warmer, but I can also easily create looks from other seasons (which I think in and of itself is a hallmark of someone who is a neutral) - I like so many palettes, even with getting draped and getting your colours done, it would be hard to stick with one palette for me!

These colors look fantastic on you. Having never been color analyzed I figured out I lean neutral and soft through the makeup that looks best on me. I can do a deep lip, but it must not be too cool, too warm or too deep. My eyes definitely look best in soft and neutral colors. Too much of anything just sits on my face.

I do not think it is a big problem to wear colors of different seasons. I wear some spring, autumn and winter colors. The main thing is to understand which colors you cannot wear because they make you look older, tired or washed out.

I think this looks perfect as a very natural, harmonious look. I agree with what Margo said re wearing colours from other seasons. Make-up is... make-up... it's like painting, playing, fun. There are lots of different looks you can achieve, but if you want one that looks very harmonious with your colouring, SA looks like it fits the bill. I always thought TA looked too dramatic to be the best fit. The best fit will look natural.

Renata, this is very pretty, but it made me wonder whether it is purely SA. The blush looks very vivid (and beautiful on you, I may add), and the eye shadow on the previous post seems to match the neutral gray color of the scarf (though I think you did not actually use a gray shadow). It all still says BW to me, as do BW reds and that beautiful cobalt color you wore some time ago (with the gray cap and the red lipstick -- absolutely gorgeous!!). I would love to see you do this look with a BW lipstick for comparison.
(PS: Sorry to be a Johnny one-note about BW these days : )
(PPS: I, too, don't like wearing the pinks in my palette -- in a print, in small amounts, maybe. It's not that they are bad or wrong, but a vivid pink-coral is much, much better, and a better match to my undertone.)

One more thing: you say in the previous post you are wearing black mascara, perhaps in these photos too. Yet, it looks so natural on you, too good and natural for you to be SAu, I think.

Renata, promise, last comment :))
OK, I was looking at these pics again. Here, the blush (Nars Madly)somehow looks more vivid, and I think it suits you. However, in the previous post (july 12), I noticed that the same blush just seems to sit on your face, and in the second pic it looks a bit too pale/too dusty/too pink. Much more like to see you with MAC Fever, Nars Exhibit A and other vivid reds. This seems to eliminate Lights and Softs, Darks, Cools and Warms, since you seem to be more neutral than that, which leaves Brights. BSp doesn't look to be it (you just look too good in pure white for BSp, I think), which leaves BW!! I rest my case...

Coming better, you look beautiful! But I think that hair color is perhaps too dark for SA, but not so sure about it.

I love all your makeup styles --you're lovely and very talented! For what it's worth, I think you are a very deep soft summer. I've read the sister season to soft summer is deep winter and that explains your attraction. I do think you're too muted for dark winter, but just by a bit. When I looked at your collage it seemed to me the most harmony was with the soft summer palette.

Thank you everyone for you comments - I can really see how the deep winter soft or dark soft summer could work as you suggested. At the same time, I see Fil's point of view as well - the REALLY interesting thing is that I just came back from Paris and went to the house of Chanel where an amazing makeup artist analyzed my skintype and helped me choose my best makeup look - the colours she chose for me are stunning - I can't wait to do a post on it, but they are a real mix of soft neutrals and brights - she chose a very peachy blush, a true red lipstick (that has a very slight warm undertone - Gabrielle #19 is the shade) and neutral greys on the eyes - she suggested I stay away from browns on the eyes and play around with greys and black liner for evening - it was very eye opening - I can't wait to do a post about it and would love to hear your reactions/feedback!!!
